On the Hibachi Regular package at $55 per person, you choose two entrees from the following options: Chicken, Jumbo Shrimp, Prime NY Strip, Scallops, Salmon, and Tofu. The Hibachi Special at $65 per person includes Chicken, Shrimp, and NY Strip as a fixed combination. If someone at your event wants something more premium, Filet Mignon is available as an upgrade at $8 per person and Lobster at $15 per person. Additional quantities of specific proteins are also available through the side order menu.

Does HibaChef travel to neighborhoods near Auburn University?

Yes. HibaChef serves neighborhoods throughout Auburn, including areas near and around Auburn University. Whether your event is in a campus-adjacent house, a home in the University District, or elsewhere in the city, reach out to confirm availability for your specific address. A travel fee applies for distances beyond 40 miles from the chef's base, but most Auburn locations fall well within that range.

The area needs adequate room for the chef and equipment, proper ventilation, and unobstructed access throughout the cooking session. No. The prices listed are base rates only and do not include sales tax or gratuity. Both are separate from the package cost. Any side orders or protein upgrades are added on top of the base package price at the rates listed on the menu page.

Can the hibachi setup move indoors if Alabama weather becomes a problem?

HibaChef provides outdoor cooking mainly. The hibachi grill and cooking station generally remain outside throughout the entire event, regardless of weather conditions. Alabama summers can bring heat and afternoon storms quickly, so it is worth planning ahead. If rain is a concern, having a covered outdoor space like a patio, awning, or tent available for the chef setup is a practical move. Your guests are welcome to sit indoors while the chef cooks outside, but cooking cannot take place inside a home, apartment, garage, or any enclosed structure.

What does the kids' package include, and how does it differ from the adult packages?

The Hibachi Kids package is $30 per child and applies to ages 5 through 12. Kids choose one entree from the available options rather than two. The package still includes all the standard accompaniments: salad with ginger dressing, mixed vegetables, and egg fried rice, just like the adult packages. If you have children under 5 attending, reach out to HibaChef directly to understand how they are handled at your event, since that age group does not fall under any listed package tier.

How does the booking process work from start to confirmed event?

Start by reaching out through the contact form at hibachef.com or by calling or texting (919) 888-9886. You will go through your event details, pick a date and time slot, and select your package. Available time slots are 1PM, 2PM, 3PM, 4PM, 5PM, 7PM, 8PM, and 9PM. Your booking is not confirmed until HibaChef receives the required payment or deposit. Once that is processed, your date and service are locked in. Book at least one to two weeks out when possible, and further in advance for weekends, holidays, or larger groups.

Are there vegetarian-friendly options available at a HibaChef event?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Tofu is available as one of the entree selections on the Hibachi Regular package. All packages also include mixed vegetables consisting of zucchini, onion, carrots, broccoli, mushroom, and asparagus, as well as salad with ginger dressing and egg fried rice. That said, HibaChef cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment, as cross-contact can occur during food preparation and service. If guests have serious food allergies or dietary restrictions, notify HibaChef in advance so they can be aware and take reasonable precautions.

What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule my Auburn event?

Accepted Answer

Submit your cancellation or rescheduling request as early as you can. If you cancel or need to reschedule within 48 hours of your event, a $200 fee applies in addition to the standard non-refundable payment policy. All payments are non-refundable unless required by applicable law, so the sooner you communicate a change, the more options you have. Rescheduling is not considered confirmed until HibaChef approves it in writing through an official booking channel.
